The Pinaisara falls is the highest waterfall in Okinawa. You can enjoy mangrove kayak and hike to top of the waterfall.
Point 1 Beginners and Kids OK!
We will give you a short instruction course beforehand, so you can enjoy this tour.
Point 2 Let’s go to the Jungle!
You can see a fantastic view from the top of the waterfall. Along the journey, there are a lot of subtropical trees.
Point 3 Enjoy the natural pool!
You can swim in the waterfall basin during the summer. If you swim with a life vest, you can relax.
A characteristic of this tour is you can see the largest mangrove forest in Japan while paddling a kayak and you can hike to top of the 55 metre high waterfall. First, you kayak for about 40 minutes, and then you hike to top of the waterfall for about 50 minutes. You can see a excellent view from top of the waterfall. Let’s take some fantastic photos and have a tasty lunch.
After lunch, you will go to the waterfall basin. On a hot summer day you can swim waterfall basin. Enjoy some Okinawan snack during your break. Finally, you will go back to the real world after kayaking and hiking.

Paddle practice After practicing how to use a paddle, get on the canoe floating in the river. Don’t worry about kayaking, even if you are a beginner. The river flow is very gentle, so even beginners need not worry. First, try paddle slowly and let’s have fun! |

Kayaking *45min First, maybe you can’t control your kayak. But, it’s more important to enjoy the beautiful scenery and listen to the birds singing than to be able to paddle a canoe well. When you will see the falls came into view, let’s capture this moment. |

Hiking *50min Let’s hike to top of the Pinaisara falls. Watch your step, especially when it is raining. In Iriomote jungle, there are many interesting trees and creatures. Our guide will explain them to you during the hike. |

Arrive at top of the waterfall First of all, your guide will tell you some note. please listen carefully. You can see wonderful landscape, including beautiful islands and mangrove forests in the distance. While you are having a break, your guide will cook delicious lunch. It is Okinawan style noodle. After lunch, you go down the mountain and go to the waterfall basin. It takes about 1 hour. |

If you are coming from Ishigaki Island
*from October to March
Please buy a ferry ticket to Uehara port at Yaeyama Kanko Ferry in Ishigaki port. The ferry to Uehara port leaves at 8:00 am and arrives at Uehara port around 9:00 am. When you arrive at Uehara port, please go to the toilet beforehand and wait in front of the building. Our staff will come to pick you up holding our sign.
*If the ferry to Uehara Port is canceled
In rare cases, the service to Uehara port will be suspended. For example, an approaching typhoon or influence of strong northerly wind and so on.
In that case, please buy a ferry ticket to Oohara port and special bus ticket to Uehara port at Yaeyama Kanko Ferry in Ishigaki port. The ferry to Oohara port leaves at 7:30 am and arrives at Oohara port around 8:20 am. After that, take Yaeyama Kanko Ferry special bus from Oohara port to Uehara port. The special bus arrives at Uehara port around 9:20 am.
When going to Ishigaki Island after the tour finished
The ferry to Ishigaki port leaves at 4:50 pm and arrives at Ishigaki port around 5:50 pm.

Please board the Yaeyama Kanko Ferry special bus bound for Oohara port that departs Uehara port at 4:30 pm. When you arrive at Oohara port, the ferry to Ishigaki port leaves at 5:35 pm and arrives at Ishigaki port around 6:25 pm.
