Okinawa’s highest waterfall offers mangrove kayaking and a summit hike.

We will give you a short instruction course beforehand, so you can enjoy this tour.
Point 2 Let’s head into the jungle!
You can see a fantastic view from the top of the waterfall. Along the journey, there are a lot of subtropical trees.
Point 3 Enjoy the natural pool!
You can swim in the waterfall basin during the summer. You can fully relax while swimming in a life vest.
A characteristic of this tour is that you can see the largest mangrove forest in Japan while paddling a kayak, and you can hike to the top of the 55 metre high waterfall.
First, you kayak for about 40 minutes, and then you hike to the top of the waterfall for about 50 minutes.
You can enjoy an excellent view from the top of the waterfall. Let’s enjoy taking some fantastic photos and having a tasty lunch.
After lunch, you will go to the waterfall basin. On hot summer days, you can swim in the basin and enjoy some Okinawan snacks during your break.
Finally, we will return to everyday life after kayaking and hiking.

Paddle practice After practicing how to use a paddle, get on the canoe floating in the river. Don’t worry about kayaking, even if you are a beginner. The river flow is very gentle, so even beginners need not worry. First, try paddle slowly and let’s have fun! |

Kayaking *45min We climb into a kayak floating on the river. First, maybe you can’t control your kayak. But, it’s more important to enjoy the beautiful scenery and listen to the birds singing than to be able to paddle a canoe well. As you enjoy the great outdoors of Iriomote Island, you will come to realize the wonder of kayaking. When the falls come into view, let’s capture this moment. |

Hiking *50min Let’s hike to the top of Pinaisara Falls. Watch your step, especially when it is raining. In Iriomote jungle, there are many interesting trees and creatures. Our guide will explain them to you during the hike. |

Arrive at top of the waterfall First of all, your guide will give you some important notes. Please listen carefully. You can see wonderful landscape, including beautiful islands and mangrove forests in the distance. While you are having a break, your guide will cook delicious lunch. It is Okinawan style noodle. After lunch, you go down the mountain and go to the waterfall basin. It takes about 1 hour. |

Arrive at the waterfall basin Everyone will cheer when they see Pinaisara Falls. At 55 meters high, it is the largest waterfall in Okinawa Prefecture. Please take a break while watching the beautiful Pinaisara Falls. If it is a hot day, you can get into the waterfall basin. We have arrived at waterfall basin. Please take a break while watching a beautiful Pinaisara falls. Children can enjoy it too, but everyone must wear a life vest while swimming. If you are a little hungry, eat a delicious snack. |

If you are coming from Ishigaki Island
Please board the Yaeyama Kanko Ferry at 8:00 am from Ishigaki Port to Uehara Port.
You will arrive at Uehara port around 9:00 am. When you arrive at Uehara port, please go to the toilet beforehand and wait in front of the building.
Our staff will come to pick you up holding below sign.
*About the ferry ticket
Tickets may sell out. After booking the tour, please purchase a ticket for the Yaeyama Kanko Ferry departing Ishigaki Port at 8:00 am for Uehara Port from here.
If it is already sold out, please purchase a ticket for Anei Kanko’s first departure from here.
In that case, please wait inside the Uehara Port terminal until other guests arriving by Yaeyama Kanko Ferry have reached the port.
*If you are unable to board the ferry on the day of the tour
Please note that you will not be able to participate in the tour and a cancellation fee equal to the tour price will be charged.
*If the ferry to Uehara port is canceled
In rare cases, the service to Uehara port will be suspended. For example, an approaching typhoon or influence of strong northerly wind and so on.
In that case, please buy a ferry ticket to Ohara port and extra bus ticket to Uehara port at Yaeyama Kanko Ferry in Ishigaki port. The fare will be the same as for the Uehara port trip.
The ferry to Ohara port leaves at 7:30 am and arrives at Ohara port around 8:20 am. After that, take Yaeyama Kanko Ferry extra bus from Ohara port to Uehara port. The extra bus arrives at Uehara port around 9:20 am.
*Even if you purchased your ferry ticket online, please pick up your extra bus ticket at the Yaeyama Kanko Ferry counter.
When going to Ishigaki Island after the tour finished *March to September
The ferry to Ishigaki port leaves at 5:05 pm and arrives at Ishigaki port around 6:05 pm.
*If the ferry from Uehara port to Ishigaki port is canceled
Please board the Yaeyama Kanko Ferry extra bus bound for Ohara port that departs Uehara port at 4:30 pm. When you arrive at Ohara port, the ferry to Ishigaki port leaves at 5:35 pm and arrives at Ishigaki port around 6:25 pm.
